The image of the glorious female has more dimensions then purely physical.  She radiates light, love and compassion from her body, mind and soul.  This is where our true strength lies.  So why are we modern women so disconnected from this?   We have learned that everything soft and subtle is weak and unacceptable.  Our society has attempted to train us to be something that we are not, imposing false beliefs about the feminine aspect which are very destructive to our wellbeing.   Male qualities are dispersed as the only good and worthy qualities to have.  As women we are living double lives, which in turn effects of self-esteem.  Here in lies the real issue.

What is self-esteem?  How you feel about yourself.  What value and worth you place on yourself, your self- respect.  This is the foundation to awakening your feminine power.  To be powerful you must love and accept yourself totally.  Just the way you are right now.  If there are changes you would like to make you make them in a loving manner without regret, guilt or shame.  Reestablish a new value system.  Look at yourself as a perfect creation with purpose and intent.  If you want new results you must do something different than what you have been doing.

After you have raised your self-esteem we can start unlocking all the other gifts you have within.  Listen to your intuition and use your emotions.  Your emotions are your servants not the master.   Work together socially, combine resources and use others for the greater good of everyone.  Use your imagination every day, start to visualize what you want your life to look like.  Make it a habit and live in your creations in color.  Listen with your heart and apply wisdom to all situations.  The powerful woman is a wise woman.

As you acknowledge your truth and love it all you will be able to create, nurture and sustain all of life, bringing balance to your inner and outer world.  Remember you are a natural, beautiful and powerful women created with royal inheritance: reclaim your title.  Use your powers for good and good will return.

As we usher in another year lets take some time to reflect on the past years and see what changes we would like to make.
If you look back over your accomplishments and feel you did good, let's improve.  If you feel like you could have done more, let's get to work.  This year let's make it the year to reinvent ourselves inside and out.  It will take focus, patience, discipline and energy, but the rewards will be worth it.


So let's look at some changes we would like to make.  Do you want to make more money?  Get in shape?  Feel good about yourself?  Start your own business?  What ever the goal is the first place to start is in your head.  It's all in the way you use your mind.  Look around and be inspired by all that has ever been created.  Look for qualities you see in a role model, favorite teacher, nature, etc and see how those qualities can be added to your new you.  Give yourself permission to be the best you can be, powerful, strong, intelligent and beautiful.  You are the ingenuis artist who has the power to be, do and have whatever your mind can see and believe.


First get clear on what the goal is.  Write it out, exaclty how you see it playing out.  Pretend you are writing a movie and you are the star.  Next get some pictures, words, etc that describe that goal and make a collage(vision board, treasure map, etc), be very creative and have fun with it and use your imagination.  Put your written movie script where you can read it everyday and place your collage where you can see it everyday.  Next write out the steps you need to taake to make this happen, this will be your to do list, carry it with you and check off every item you complete.  Enjoy the creative process and get to work.  Make it a daily routine to run your movie in your head using all your senses, see, touch, smell, hear and taste it, knowing without a doubt it is being created in the silence.


We all have special powers to create our realities, but we first have to let go of any limiting thought or belief that is holding us back.  Laugh, sing, dance, rest, relax, love and celebrate who you are and the magnificent work of art you are becoming.

Everything in this world was created for a reason with a distinct purpose.  This paper you are reading, the chair you are sitting in and the cup you are drinking your beverage out of all have a use and purpose.  You have a purpose that is uniquely your own.  Once something is thought about and given constant attention and focus it manifest for the exact purpose it was created for.
What is the purpose of Holy-Days? To make that day special and sacred.  Let's examine the powerful Holiday of Kwanzaa and look at the purpose of this ritual and how we can incorporate the principles into our lifestyle. Kwanzaa is an African-American Holiday created by Maulana Karenga to instill ancient universal principles into the consciousness to uplift empower us.  Even though it is celebrated at a specific time of the year (December 26- January 1) the seven principles are so important that we need to infused them in our daily lives.  The principles or Kwanzaa are:
  • Umoja-Unity
  • Kujichagulia-Self-determination
  • Ujima-Collective Work & Responsibilty
  • Ujamaa-Cooprative Economics
  • Nia-Purpose
  • Juumba-Creativity
  • Imani-Faith
How can we use this principle to be on purpose?  Before you start your day get clear as to what type of day you want to create.  Look at the principles and see how you can practice it throughout your day.  Start looking at everybody and everything as an extension of yourself.  Create your reality the way you want, be empowered and be who you say you want to be.  Co-operate with others to come up with solutions for the greater good of all concerned.  Spend your money in your community, clean up your surrounding areas and feel good about where you live.   Set goals to accomplish, remember who you really are and move with deliberate intention with everything you do.  Be creative and produce something that brings you joy, have fun and enjoy your life.  Have faith in your greatness, know that you can accomplish what you will. Once we set up productive  and empowering habits everyday will be a holy day because we will have created it that way.  Be on purpose and watch your thoughts and ideas come to life.

Learning to relax might be a challenge due to our modern habits we have been accustomed to in today society.  We work without rest, worry endlessly and our mind in always cluttered with constant thoughts, flooding our bodies with adrenaline, which over prolonged periods works negativity on our minds, bodies and spirit.

 It is very important to give our bodies a rest from all the stress induced hormones.  80% of our common diseases today are caused by stress.  These include hypertension, heart attack migraines, hay fever, allergies, asthma, hay fever, constipation, indigestion, skin disorders and depression. 

 We may not be able to control the many stress situations in our life but we can learn how to alter how we respond to them, with the aide of stress relief tips and technique; alleviating constant levels of stress due to various lifestyle reasons. To remain healthy we must manage our stress levels and find activities for release.  Below is a brief list of things we can try to help release some stress:
